Southern Draw Cigars has announced that it is adding a new size to its Rose of Sharon line, one that will only be sold at Casa de Montecristo stores.
The Southern Draw Rose of Sharon Salomon is a 7 1/8 x 58 box-pressed salomon. Blend-wise, Rose of Sharon uses an Ecuadorian Connecticut-seed wrapper, a Nicaraguan binder and filler tobaccos from the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua. Like other Southern Draw cigars, the line is made at Tabacalera AJ Fernandez Cigars de Nicaragua S.A.
Each cigar will have an MSRP of $12.17 per cigar and boxes of 12 will be priced at $146.04. It will debut this weekend at the Texas Cigar Festival, which takes place at a Casa de Montecristo location in Houston.
“We are thrilled to partner with Southern Draw on the latest addition to our Casa de Montecristo portfolio of exclusive cigars,” said Sherri Sieminski, ceo of Casa de Montecristo, in a press release. “At our upcoming Texas Cigar Festival in Houston, Texas on April 13, our valued guests will be the first to experience this new release, a unique shape of Southern Draw’s beloved Rose of Sharon blend.”
Casa de Montecristo is a retail chain of 25 stores nationwide, some of which are owned by Tabacalera USA and others of which are franchise stores.
“The heart of our business has always been putting humble people at the center and honoring those that have molded our lives,” said Robert Holt, managing member of Southern Draw, in a press release. “The Rose of Sharon has long been considered the “heart” of Southern Draw Cigars, so quite fitting that Casa de Montecristo selected the classic Rose of Sharon blend and commissioned this Salomon size that will only be available at their lounges and retail stores. A beautiful reminder of the grace that Sharon, the blends namesake, has bestowed upon each of us at Southern Draw Cigars.”
