To help celebrate its 50th anniversary, Padrón commissioned a limited edition series of special items from S.T. Dupont, the French accessory company, such as lighters and an ashtray. Now that the company is celebrating its 60th anniversary, the two companies are working together on another collection.

At last month’s 2024 PCA Convention & Trade Show, Padrón showed off the upcoming Padrón 60th Anniversary cigar—a 6 x 48/56 perfecto offered in both Natural and Maduro wrapper options—and the new S.T. Dupont collaboration.

Many of the details of both the Padrón 60th Anniversary cigar and the accompanying S.T. Dupont accessory collection remain unknown, most notably, no information about pricing has been released.

Coles of London, S.T. Dupont’s U.S. distributor, told halfwheel that it would be ready to ship the accessories whenever Padrón ships the new cigar(s), which Padrón says is targeted for Sept. 8, the anniversary of the company. All of the items will be limited, though only certain items will be numbered.

Presumably, the most expensive item will be the S.T. Dupont Le Grand Dupont Padrón 60th Haute Creation, a special version of the Le Grand Dupont. That lighter is notable as it has both the double soft flame that can be found in S.T. Dupont’s classic Ligne 2 lighters as well as a single-flame torch lighter. In order to activate the torch flame, users push up on the ignition roller.

For those wondering, this version of the Le Grand will make the iconic “ping” sound the company is known for.

The Ligne 2 Padrón 60th Haute Creation (L) and Ligne 2 Padrón 60th (R).

There’s also an accompanying Ligne 2 version that features the same design work.

Both of these lighters will be limited to 88 numbered pieces. They are part of S.T. Dupont’s flagship Haute Creation series, which means they are made-to-order pieces.

There are also brown and gold versions of the Le Grand Dupont and Ligne 2 lighters, which feature the signature of José O. Padrón, the company’s founder, and the Padrón logo.

These two lighters will be produced in greater quantities, though S.T. Dupont has not disclosed the production numbers.

There’s a fifth lighter, a special version of the Biggy, a flat flame model that S.T. Dupont introduced last year. It was previously known as the Big D.

S.T. Dupont also showed off a Padrón 60th version of its Cigar Stand Cutter, a double guillotine cutter that folds to function as a cigar stand.

There are three other items that were not shown off at PCA 2024:

  • A three-cigar case
  • A large ashtray
  • A cross-shoulder body bag

None of these items are new models for S.T. Dupont, rather, new colorways.

S.T. Dupont will handle sales of the items, which means they will be sold by Coles of London in the U.S. and through S.T. Dupont’s distributors in international markets.

There was one other S.T. Dupont lighter on display in Padrón’s PCA 2024 booth, but it won’t be sold. S.T. Dupont created a lighter that has a portrait of José O. Padrón. It was a one-of-one gift for the Padrón family.
