A new entry to the Romeo y Julieta marca is about to launch in Switzerland, as Intertabak AG announced that the Petit Royales will be available in Swiss La Casa del Habano stores beginning tomorrow.

The new cigar lives up to the word petit in its name, measuring just 3 3/4 inches long (95mm) with a 47 ring gauge. It is a new corona extra vitola known as the Caprichos in the Habanos S.A. portfolio, with this being the first time the size has appeared.

The Romeo y Julieta Petit Royales is offered in 25-count dress boxes, priced at CHF 230 per box, approximately US $252.13. It will be available in Habanos Specialist shops in Switzerland beginning on Nov. 29.

Another packaging option is also in the works, a three-count cardboard box with the cigars packed into aluminum tubos, though no release date has been announced for that.

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury and previously the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for MLB.com, plus I'm a voice over artist. Prior to joining halfwheel, I covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
