In May, the Regius Exclusivo U.S.A. debuted at Casa De Montecristo, now it’s headed to stores nationally. The four vitola line is the latest from Regius and the Plasencia Cigars S.A. factory, a partnership that is responsible for many of the company’s lines.

Regius Exclusivo U S A

Exclusivo U.S.A. is a Nicaraguan puro with a wrapper from Jalapa and filler from Ometepe. It’s offered in four sizes: Fat Perfecto (5 3/4 x 60 x 54), Pressed Perfecto (6 1/2 x 54), Toro Extra (6 1/2 x 46) and Lancero Extra (7 1/2 x 42). All are priced at $12.95 per cigar and come in boxes of 10.

Quesada Cigars, the distributor of Regius in the U.S., began shipping the cigars nationally at the end of August.

Interestingly, Club Cubano Cigars, Inc., who is listed at the same address as Casa De Montecristo, filed for the Exclusivo U.S.A. trademark on Jan. 15, 2014. When asked about trademark questions, Quesada Cigars directed all questions to Akhil Kapacee, owner of Regius. Kapacee declined to comment.
