Each size will be offered in 10-count boxes. Previously the line has largely been sold in 20- or 24-count boxes.
“We are more than excited to present this year’s Oktoberfest edition,” said Manuel Quesada Jr., the president of Quesada, in a press release. “It’s always fun to develop this project, and this year marks more than 8 years of offering cigar enthusiasts and beer lovers the perfect pairing.”
The Quesada Oktoberfest 2019 is expected to ship to stores in September. The company has not disclosed production numbers for the release. It will be on display at the 2019 IPCPR Convention & Trade Show, which begins June 29 in Las Vegas, Nev.
Quesada introduced the Oktoberfest in 2011. Since then it has been offered in nearly 20 vitolas, some made in the Dominican Republic and others made by Plasencia in Nicaragua. The blend has generally been a Dominican puro, though the Plasencia-made cigars have been Nicaraguan puros.
The cigar is designed to be paired with Märzen-style beer, the German beer that is traditionally served during the Oktoberfest holiday. In the past, Quesada has done a series of events surrounding the cigar and oftentimes featuring a beer pairing.
Last year marked the first time that the Oktoberfest had not been released to stores in the U.S. The bands used for this release are white, the same as those that were used on the last release.
