The next Cigar Dojo cigar will come from Perdomo and will go on sale at JR Cigar on July 29.
It’s the Perdomo Reserve Champagne Cigar Dojo Limited Edition 10th Anniversary, a 6 x 56 version of Perdomo’s popular Reserve 10th Anniversary Champagne Connecticut. It uses the same blend as the regular production version of the line: an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper over a Cuban-seed binder and Cuban-seed fillers; all of the Nicaraguan tobaccos are grown by Perdomo and aged for six years. Perdomo says the wrapper is also six-years-old, but is aged in bourbon barrels for an added eight months.
This year marks the 10th anniversary of Cigar Dojo, which the company says is part of the reason it chose to produce this cigar.
It will be priced at $10 per cigar and limited to just 625 boxes of eight cigars. As it has done in the past, Cigar Dojo has chosen a single retailer to sell the cigars, this time JR Cigar. Of note, Perdomo’s Epicure size is 6 x 54, only two ring gauge difference from the Cigar Dojo limited release.
“Making these special cigars for my friend Eric, his team, and the loyal Cigar Dojo customers is an honor for the Perdomo family,” said Nick Perdomo Jr., president and ceo of Perdomo, in a press release. “The Perdomo Reserve Champagne Cigar Dojo 10th Anniversary represents Cigar Dojo’s passion and dedication to the cigar industry as they celebrate their ten years in business.”
Cigar Dojo is a media company that includes a weekly video podcast, blog and a social networking app for cigar smokers. The company has worked with dozens of cigar companies to produce co-branded products like this.
