Beginning this month, PDR Cigars has a new distributor in Germany, as the company has signed an agreement with Kohlhase & Kopp.

“I’m extremely excited to partner up with this great organization, and I feel that they will do a great job representing and being the face of PDR in Germany,” Abe Flores told halfwheel. He said that the first shipment to Kohlhase & Kopp should be arriving by midweek.

The company distributes a number of other cigar companies in the country, including My Father Cigars and Tatuaje, which both moved their distribution over at the start of the year. According to its website, Kohlhase & Kopp is the distributor for several well-known cigar brands, including Arturo Fuente, Ashton, Casa Turrent, E.P. Carrillo, Padrón, Matilde, Maya Selva, Rocky Patel and others.

Prior to the move, PDR Cigars had been distributed by Don Stefano for the past nine years. “I am thankful for Mr. Rinn and the Don Stefano team for all they have done for me and giving PDR a chance 9 years ago,” Flores noted, adding that the relationship achieved great things in the German market.

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury, the G-League's Valley Suns, and previously the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for Major League Baseball, plus I'm a voice over artist. Prior to joining halfwheel, I covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
