As a follow-up to the news that VCF Germany will be launching its distribution operations next month, My Father Cigars and Tatuaje have announced that they will be moving their German distribution from Wolfertz to Kohlhase & Kopp.
Wolfertz GmbH was one of two companies acquired by the Vandermarliere Cigar Family (VCF) in 2022, the other being Woermann Cigars GmbH. The operations of those two companies, along with some of the VCF brands that were distributed by Kohlhase & Kopp, are being combined to create VCF Germany.
VCF is also the parent of Oliva Cigar Co. and J. Cortès, a popular mass-market cigar brand.
“We are very excited about this new chapter and looking forward to create great things for the European market,” said Janny García, vp of My Father Cigars. “We loved working with (Thorsten) Wolfertz and we wish him the best in his new venture.”
According to its website, Kohlhase & Kopp is the distributor for several well-known cigar brands, including Arturo Fuente, Ashton, Casa Turrent, E.P. Carrillo, Padrón, Matilde, Maya Selva, Rocky Patel and others.
“I’m looking forward to working with our new distribution partners, Kohlhase & Kopp,” Pete Johnson of Tatuaje told halfwheel.
The move to Kohlhase & Kopp for both My Father Cigars and Tatuaje will go into effect on Jan. 1, 2023.
