The name Cigar Specialist might not ring a lot of bells for the average consumer, and it’s understandable why, as it is a Singapore-based distributor. But at last year’s trade show, I was introduced to the company by way of the Aura E.P. Carrillo Shengxiao Limited Edition cigar project, which was developed by E.P. Carrillo in collaboration with Cigar Specialist International.

Just like it did in 2022, Cigar Specialist shared a booth with Dissim, the company best known for the lighters that can be ignited and used in an inverted position, as well having launched via Kickstarter and growing into a full-fledged brand with numerous options. With Dissim having grown quite a bit, it made for a fairly crowded 10′ x 10′ booth, in particular, the lone table that held the two company’s offerings.

For this year’s show, Cigar Specialist featured a line of Italian cigar accessories that it is hoping to land in retail stores in the coming months.

Inzpiarto Cigar Accessories

The line is made by Giuseppe Michalini and available in three colors, black, red and blue. The pieces are available individually as well as in a boxed set. I only had a few moments to try them out, but they certainly felt as solid as I would expect from a line geared towards premium cigar smokers.

  • Inzpirato Carbon Fiber Cases — $70
  • Inzpirato Dual Torch Lighter — $50
  • Inzpirato V-Cutter — $60
  • Inzpirato Accessories Set— $180

Inzpirato Porcelain V-Cutter

This is a different take on the v-cutter above, using a porcelain finish that results in the rather unique color. This was the only one that I saw in the booth, but I’m told there will be many colors available.

  • Inzpirato Porcelain V-Cutter — $149

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury and previously the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for Major League Baseball, plus I'm a voice over artist. Prior to joining halfwheel, I covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
