The Palió Squadra, a new angled triple torch lighter, will make its official debut next week at the 2023 Total Product Expo (TPE), but you may see it in stores ahead of the trade show as Quality Importers Trading Co. announced it has the lighter in stock and ready to ship to stores.

The Squadra, which comes with an MSRP of $9.99, angles its three flames away from the body of the lighter by 30 degrees. It is designed to quickly and precisely light larger ring gauge cigars as those three flames are angled towards each other, creating a more precise tip of the overall flame. The lighter is supported by large air vents that the company says helps prevent overheating and misfires, while also helping enhance performance and higher altitudes.

In a press release, Quality Importers Trading Co. says that the Palió Squadra has an extra large fuel tank that allows for the lighting of up to 100 cigars between fill-ups. A large flame adjustment wheel on the base of the lighter allows the user to dial in just how much flame they want.

“Palio is dominating the retail landscape and continues to be one of the fastest turning brands for our retail partners,” said Jimmy Miudo, evp of product design for Quality Importers Trading Co., via a press release. “Squadra will be a fan favorite for our consumers, with a big torch and massive fuel tank at a great price.”

The Palió Squadra is available in five translucent colors: smoke, clear, red, blue, and green.

The 2023 Total Product Expo runs from February 22-24 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury and previously the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for Major League Baseball, plus I'm a voice over artist. Prior to joining halfwheel, I covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
