The new triple-flame Palió Vesuvio is off to stores.

Quality Importers Trading Co., which owns Palió, has announced that the Vesuvio ($8.99) has begun shipping. It’s a triple-flame torch lighter with a large translucent tank. The flames are angled to come to a more precise point and the bottom features a wheel that is used to adjust the height of the flame.

It measures 3.21 inches x 1.64 x 1.21.

It is offered in five colors—clear, smoke, red, blue and green—and is sold to stores in boxes of 20.

The name comes from Mount Vesuvius, an Italian volcano most famous for erupting in 79 AD, which destroyed the city of Pompeii. Interestingly, Vesuvius is 4,203 feet in elevation, which is about a third of the claimed range of the Vesuvio. Quality Importers says the lighter has been tested to work at 12,000 feet of elevation.
