Oliva Advent Calendar Returns for 2023

The 2023 edition Oliva Advent Calendar has begun arriving at stores in the U.S.

As with previous editions, this is a cigar-themed Advent calendar that comes with 25 cigars and a lighter. The MSRP for the Oliva Advent Calendar is $230—up $10 compared to last year—and production is limited to 5,000 boxes.

Oliva has declined to name the cigars included to halfwheel though listings from multiple retailer indicate that the 2023 Oliva Advent Calendar appears to include the same cigars as last year’s Advent calendar.

While this is the third year for Oliva’s Advent calendar to be available in the U.S., this year marks the first time that Oliva has created an Advent calendar for European markets. That release is said to be different than the ones that have gone on sale in the U.S.

An Advent calendar is a Christmas tradition where treats—oftentimes candy—are placed inside of a package that has 25-numbered slots. During Advent—a Christian holiday season that leads up to Christmas—people will open up the slot corresponding to what day of Advent it is. Advent ends on Dec. 24, Christmas Eve.

Oliva’s Advent calendar has QR codes on the boxes that take people to a website that will describe the cigars inside in more detail.
