Later this week, Smoke Inn will be releasing an exclusive vitola in Micallef Cigars’ Black line.

The Micallef Black Soft Box-Pressed Toro is a 6 1/2 x 54 box-pressed vitola packaged in 10-count boxes. The cigars are made at the Micallef Cigars S.A. factory in Nicaragua and each cigar has an MSRP of $9.

“We are pleased to partner with Abe and Smoke Inn to introduce this exclusive vitola of Micallef Black,” said Dan Thompson, president of Micallef Cigars, in a press release. “The remarkable response we’ve received for this blend is a testament to its quality. Working with Smoke Inn has been a positive experience, and we’re excited to offer their customers a truly unique addition to the Micallef portfolio.”

Like the rest of the Black line, which debuted with two sizes last year, the new viola is made with a Mexican San Andrés wrapper covering an Ecuadorian habano binder and a filler blend of Nicaraguan tobaccos.

The Micallef Black Soft Box-Pressed Toro will be sold exclusively at Smoke Inn stores, starting on Wednesday, Oct. 23.

I have worn many hats in my life up to this point: I started out as a photojournalist for the Dallas Morning News and the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, then transitioned to photographing weddings—both internationally and in the U.S.—for more than a decade. After realizing that there was a need for a cigar website containing better photographs and more in-depth information about each release, I founded my first cigar blog, SmokingStogie, in 2008. SmokingStogie quickly became one of the more influential cigar blogs on the internet, known for reviewing preproduction, prerelease, rare, extremely hard-to-find and expensive cigars, and it was one of the predecessors to halfwheel, which I co-founded.
