Casdagli Cigars has a new version of its Mareva Spalato line that will be shipping to retail stores next week.

The Mareva Spalato No.2 is a 5 1/2 x 50 piramides with a fairly aggressive taper. It is the same size as the Mareva Spalato Limited Edition, but there’s a notable change as the No.2 will use an Ecuadorian corojo wrapper instead of the Dominican wrapper that was found on the original release. Underneath that is the same fillers from before: a Dominican binder and fillers from the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua.

Casdagli launched the Marvea Spalato Limited Edition in 2017 as part of its Club Mareva line, which is made in collaboration with Cigar Club Mareva in Split, Croatia, best known for being the home of the Cigar Smoking World Championship. Marko Bilić of Cigar Club Mareva picks the blend for the Mareva Spalato line.

Pricing remains $24 per cigar and it will be sold in boxes of 15. While the Mareva Spalato No.2 is not a limited edition, production is limited to 10,000 cigars annually.

Like the original cigar, it is being produced at the Kelner Boutique Factory in the Dominican Republic.
