The Knuckle Sandwich Chef Special, a limited edition that debuted last year, is coming back for a second helping this year but with a new blend.
The cigar is a 6 1/2 x 52 box-pressed figurado that uses an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and filler. It is produced at the San Lotano Factory in Ocotal, Nicaragua, with 1,500 boxes of 10 cigars produced. Pricing is set at $15 per cigar and $150 per box.
“This is the first LE we did for Knuckle Sandwich Cigars a year ago,” said Erik Espinosa of Espinosa Premium Cigars in a press release. “It went very well, both the size and the blend really hit. So, we are back this year with a new blend in that same great size, it’s an exceptional smoke.” Espinosa Premium Cigars developed the Knuckle Sandwich line in collaboration with celebrity chef and restaurateur Guy Fieri.
The debut of the Knuckle Sandwich Chef Special used an Ecuadorian habano rosado wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and filler. There were 2,500 boxes of 10 cigars produced for that release.
The cigars will be on display at the 2023 PCA Convention & Trade Show, which runs from July 8-11 in Las Vegas, Nev. They are slated to begin shipping to retailers in late July.
