Joya de Nicaragua is celebrating its golden jubilee with a silver cigar.
The company will expand its Joya family—which includes Joya Red and Joya Black—to include Joya Silver. It uses an Ecuadorian oscuro wrapper over a Mexican binder and Nicaraguan fillers. The company describes the release as “medium-full.”
“With each Joya, we’ve aimed to cater to modern aficionados by accompanying them through their smoking journey, from beginners to connoisseurs; the line-up represents an evolution of flavor and complexity, each blend being a distinct and peculiar perspective of Nicaraguan tobacco interfused with leaves from other origins,” said Juan Ignacio Martínez, the company’s executive president, in a press release. “Another feature of our Joya line is that it comes at (an) incredible retail price. With Joya Silver we’re expanding this experience with a medium to full blend. Together with already popular Joya variants, Silver will continue to generate excitement among modern smokers and make their taste exploration much more rewarding.”
It will be offered in four sizes.
- Joya Silver Ultra (6 1/4 x 46) — $6.30 (Boxes of 20, $126)
- Joya Silver Toro (6 x 52) — $7.80 (Boxes of 20, $156)
- Joya Silver Corona (5 1/4 x 42) — $6.30 (Boxes of 20, $126)
- Joya Silver Robusto (5 x 50) — $7.10 (Boxes of 20, $142)
The company will show off the cigar at next week’s IPCPR Convention & Trade Show in Las Vegas.
