In 2017, J.C. Newman Cigar Co. launched an Oktoberfest-themed promotion for its Brick House brand called Bricktoberfest. The efforts include Brick House-themed beer steins, as well as a special cigar.

The 2023 Brick House Bricktoberfest 2023 is a 6 x 52 toro with a pigtail cap. Blend-wise, it uses an Ecuadorian habano rosado wrapper over binder and filler tobaccos from Nicaragua. The company says the cigars are designed to be paired with the märzen-style beer that is drank during Oktoberfest.

For context, last year’s Bricktoberfest used a Nicaraguan wrapper. Like the rest of the Brick House brand, the cigars are made at J.C. Newman PENSA in Estelí, Nicaragua.

The MSRP is set at $10 per cigar and the cigars come in boxes of 10. Production numbers have not been disclosed.

“My grandfather, J.C. Newman, was born in the only house made out of brick in a small village in Austria-Hungary,” said Eric Newman in a press release. “He lived with his family on the second floor while the first floor was the local tavern and general store. The ‘Brick House’ cigar label depicts his family’s home. My ancestors gathered in the original ‘brick house’ to relax and celebrate with beer and cigars 150 years ago, and Bricktoberfest is the perfect way to celebrate the season with beer and Brick House cigars today.”

Consumers who purchase five Brick House cigars from participating retailers will receive a Brick House beer stein.
