IPCPR 2016: Cigar Oasis

After running into some of the Cigar Oasis crew at a bar the previous night I decided to swing by the Cigar Oasis booth to check out the new product it has for this year and boy was it not what I was expecting.

For reasons described below, the Cigar Oasis was loud, a bit wetter and potentially cooler.

Oasis Humizone

It’s time for Cigar Oasis to enter the retail humidors. The Oasis Humizone is a large humidifier designed for retail and other large walk-in settings. The unit comes with four sensors that you place around the humidor and is designed to be hooked up to your HVAC controls as well as a water line.

From there, the Humizone does the work for you. It’s got a reverse osmosis system to purify the water, the ability to work with an HVAC system to help efficiently humidify depending on temperature controls and a control module that can be accessed in person or via an app.

Pricing will be around $3,000 and the unit is expected to arrive later this year. Smaller units are also in the works.
