There will be a new, sweet-tipped blend in Iconic Leaf Cigars’ ILC family of unbanded cigars.

The ILC Sweet Tails will debut at the 2023 PCA Convention & Trade Show this summer. It’s the ninth blend in the ILC Series, which contains a variety of blends that are offered in more than 50 vitolas. The ILC program is unique compared to most cigars in that the cigars are made-to-order. Many retailers use these cigars as a house blend.

As for the Sweet Tails, it uses an Ecuadorian shade wrapper over a Sumatra binder and Dominican fillers that contain leaves from the three common primings: seco, viso and ligero. Like the rest of the company’s blends, the ILC Sweet Tails is made at Tabacalera Leyendas Cubanas in the Dominican Republic.

There will be five sizes offered to start:

  • ILC Sweet Tails Robusto (5 x 54) — $6 (Bundle of 25, $150)
  • ILC Sweet Tails Toro (6 x 50) — $6.50 (Bundle of 25, $162.50)
  • ILC Sweet Tails Gordo (6 x 60) — $7 (Bundle of 25, $175)
  • ILC Sweet Tails Churchill (7 x 54) — $7.50 (Bundle of 25, $187.50)
  • ILC Sweet Tails Torpedo (6 1/2 x 58) — $8 (Bundle of 25, $200)

The parejo sizes have a pigtail.

Retailers are required to place a minimum order of 1,000 cigars—i.e. 40 bundles— for the ILC program, however, they can mix and match between all sizes in every blend. Iconic Leaf says it takes about four weeks to ship the cigars after an order is placed, meaning that consumers can expect to see these cigars on shelves beginning in August. Iconic Leaf said it tested the ILC Sweet Cap at a few retailers late last year.

The 2023 PCA Convention & Trade Show takes place July 8-11 in Las Vegas.

Update (July 16, 2023) — The name of this cigar has changed from “Sweet Cap” to “ILC Sweet Tails.”
