HVC Ships Edición Especial 2018, First Selection Broadleaf

After three months of rest, HVC’s two new lines are shipping to stores.

Both were shown off at the 2018 IPCPR Convention & Trade Show. In total, it’s five new cigars, all from the Tabacos Valle de Jalapa S.A. (TABSA) factory in Estelí, Nicaragua.

The HVC Edición Especial 2018 is the first Edición Especial since the debut 2015 release. It’s a Nicaraguan puro capped off with a corojo 99 wrapper from Jalapa. Three vitolas are offered.

While there are two sizes of the HVC First Selection Limited Edition Broadleaf, there’s only one box. The company has packaged the cigars in wide, 20-count boxes containing 10 of each of the two sizes. More notable than that, this is the first time the TABSA factory is producing a cigar with a Connecticut broadleaf wrapper. Underneath, the dark wrapper is a Nicaraguan binder and Nicaraguan fillers.
