The Fuente Fuente OpusX 2020 has launched in the Middle East.

More specifically, the cigar has launched in the United Arab Emirates, which is where the cigar will be sold. The new line is being created to coincide with the UAE’s Expo 2020, which takes places in Dubai next October.

Like the original Fuente Fuente OpusX, the cigar uses tobacco from the Fuente family’s Chateau de la Fuente in El Caribe, Dominican Republic.

It will be offered in three sizes.

  • Fuente Fuente OpusX 2020 Arena d’Amor (5 x 52)
  • Fuente Fuente OpusX 2020 Sol d’Amor (6 1/8 x 55)
  • Fuente Fuente OpusX 2020 Viento d’Amor (6 x 58)

Previously, sources told halfwheel that the cigar would be an ongoing production item, but very limited in production. It will be sold only in the UAE in both local stores and duty-free outlets.

“From the first moment my foot touched the sand, my eyes fixed the horizon and I experienced the unique scent only the desert can offer,” said Carlos “Carlito” Fuente Jr. in a statement provided to halfwheel. “I immediately realized how much affection I had developed for the U.A.E.”

Fuente thanked Mohammed Mohebi of Zainal Mohebi Holdings, the distributor for Fuente in the UAE.
