Arturo Fuente has shipped its flagship Fuente Fuente OpusX to retailers as part of the company’s annual spring shipment, included for some stores are two sizes that are not part of the normal allotment: an OpusX Shark and Love Affair.

The Fuente Fuente OpusX Perfecxion No. 77 Shark is the OpusX version of the popular Añejo Shark. It carries an MSRP of $15.81 per cigar and comes in boxes of 36. While the OpusX Shark was offered as part of the Toast Across America sets in 2014 and has been included in Prometheus special edition humidors in prior years, this is believed to be the first time the cigar is being offered to retailers nationally in a non-specialized format.

While the size is best known for its Añejo version, there has been a multitude of Shark variants over the years, including the smaller Eye of the Shark. The size is noted for having a round, torpedo shape up top and finishing in a sharp box-press at the foot.

In addition, the OpusX Love Affair is once again shipping to retailers. The small perfecto measures 5 1/2 x 52/49 and was created to honor Anna and Carlos Fuente Sr.’s 55th wedding anniversary in 2008. Unlike the Shark, Love Affair has been offered to retailers before, but it’s generally not part of the regular OpusX shipment. Pricing is set at $11.73 per cigar and is once again packaged in boxes of 18.

As with many Fuente Fuente OpusX cigars, MSRP and actual prices customers pay can be quite different due to the supply and demand of OpusX.
