Orgasmo, the second cigar in Freud Cigar Co.’s Carlos & Maria trilogy, is beginning to arrive at retailers.

The cigar is a 6 x 60 gordo that uses an Ecuadorian wrapper, an Indonesian Sumatra binder, and fillers from the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua. The blend was developed by Wiber Ventura and produced by Tabacalera William Ventura in the Dominican Republic. Gerald Tritt, director of operations for Freud Cigar Co., described the profile as peppery and highlighted by salted caramel.

As for the name, it is meant to represent “the passion” of the storyline and serves as a follow-up to Amorio, a line named for “everlasting love.” Previously, Tritt said that the third line, with a name that has not yet been announced, is looking like a PCA 2025 release and will come with a name that represents “an extension of the love.”

The Carlos & Maria Orgasmo is a limited edition, with production limited to 500 boxes of 10 cigars. Individual cigars have an MSRP of $21, while a full box has an MSRP of $210.

Tritt has also previously said there are still plans to bring the Carlos & Maria brand into other luxury products, specifically spirits, which was mentioned when the line debuted last summer.

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury, the G-League's Valley Suns, and previously the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for Major League Baseball, plus I'm a voice over artist. Prior to joining halfwheel, I covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
