Fratello’s The Texan will now be available for sale outside of Texas.

At this week’s 2021 PCA Convention & Trade Show, Fratello will offer retailers nationwide the chance to purchase The Texan. Since its introduction in 2019, the cigar has only been offered to retailers in Texas.

It’s a 7 1/8 x 58 parejo that uses an Ecuadorian HVA wrapper, a Sumatran binder and four fillers: Dominican piloto cubano ligero, Dominican andullo, ligero from Estelí, Nicaragua and ligero from Pennsylvania.

It is produced at the La Aurora Cigar Factory in the Dominican Republic.

Omar de Frias, Fratello’s founder, told halfwheel that its MSRP will remain $11 and it will begin shipping to stores later this month.

Earlier this year, Fratello expanded the line by creating a 6 x 50 toro that is sold exclusively in samplers, which can be purchased by retailers nationwide.
