The first batch of the Espinosa 10 Years Anniversary, a cigar celebrating the company’s first decade in business, is scheduled to head to stores early next week.
The cigar is a 6 x 52 toro that uses an Ecuadorian habano hybrid wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and filler, with production handled by AJ Fernandez’s San Lotano factory. It is a limited edition, with 1,500 boxes of 20 cigars being produced, a total run of 30,000 cigars.
That first shipment will also be limited, as Héctor Alfonso Sr., the company’s director of operations, said that the first batch, which he expects to ship on Monday, will only be about 200 of those boxes. He didn’t have a specific date for when the remaining cigars would be ready to ship, though was optimistic more batches could ship over the next month or so.
The Espinosa 10 Years Anniversary debuted at the 2022 PCA Convention & Trade Show. Alfonso told halfwheel that he is hopeful that another cigar that debuted at that show, the Las 6 Provincias CMW, will be ready to ship before the end of September.
