At last week’s InterTabac 2024 trade fair in Dortmund, Germany, Elie Bleu, the Paris-based company best known for its humidors, previewed its upcoming Year of the Snake 2025 humidor.

It’s a large model that measures 22.9 inches x 12.7 x 5.7, rated to store around 250 cigars. Beyond the green-tinted wood, snakes appear on the top and sides of the humidor, with the main snake on the top made out of metals and mother of pearl, topped off with two jade eyes.

On the front, the standard Elie Bleu key has an added bamboo knob.

Each humidor has an MSRP of €8,888 ($9,930) and only 88 humidors will be made, a nod to the number eight being considered lucky in China. These humidors are made to celebrate the upcoming Chinese New Year and the associated symbol on the Chinese zodiac calendar. Next year, which begins on Jan. 29, is the year of the snake. In recent years, many cigar companies have released new cigars to coincide with the Zodiac calendar, something Elie Bleu has been doing for more than a decade. This is not the first time that Elie Bleu has created a Year of the Snake humidor, it did so in 2013, the last time it was a Year of the Snake.

Elie Bleu says the Year of the Snake humidors will begin shipping in December.

In addition, the company showed off various crocodile cigar cases that it is bringing back to market after a roughly six-year absence. The two-cigar case is priced at €1,450 ($1,620), while a three-cigar model is priced at €1,850 ($2,070).
