During the 2024 PCA Convention & Trade Show next month, Definition Cigars will introduce two new vitolas of its GEN413 line.

The company will show off a 7 x 42 Lancero with an MSRP of $13.70 and a 6 x 52 Toro with an MSRP of $13.80. Both new sizes will be regular production releases, but the GEN413 Toro will be packaged in 20-count boxes, while the GEN413 Lancero will be sold in 30-count boxes.

Blend-wise, the two new vitolas feature the same blend as the original 5 1/2 x 54 Super Robusto size that debuted during the 2023 PCA Convention & Trade Show: an Ecuadorian broadleaf hybrid wrapper covering a Mexican San Andrés binder and Nicaraguan fillers grown in Condega, Ometepe and Pueblo Nueva. In addition, the filler includes a tobacco Luciano Cigars has named Chincagre, which the company describes as a native Nicaraguan tobacco grown in the Masatepe region.

Definition Cigars was founded in 2019 by Jamond Hackley, but the Genesis line was created in collaboration with Luciano Meirelles, ceo and co-founder of Luciano Cigars. Both new GEN413 sizes are being made at the Luciano Tabacos S.A. factory in Esteli, Nicaragua.

In an Instagram message, Hackley told halfwheel that both new GEN413 vitolas will debut during the 2024 PCA Convention & Trade Show, which takes place March 23-25 in Las Vegas, and boxes are scheduled to begin shipping to retailers on April 13, 2024.

Editor’s Note: According to Definition Cigars, the name of the Genesis line has been renamed to GEN413. The story above has been updated to reflect the change.

I have been smoking cigars for over eight years. A documentary wedding photographer by trade, I spent seven years as a photojournalist for the Dallas Morning News and the Fort Worth Star Telegram. I started the cigar blog SmokingStogie in 2008 after realizing that there was a need for a cigar blog with better photographs and more in-depth information about each release. SmokingStogie quickly became one of the more influential cigar blogs on the internet, known for reviewing preproduction, prerelease, rare, extremely hard-to-find and expensive cigars. I am a co-founder of halfwheel and now serve as an editor for halfwheel.
