Davidoff Increasing Prices Next Month

Most Davidoff lines will receive a price increase later this week.

In a letter from Dylan Austin, the vp of sales and marketing for Davidoff of Geneva USA, the company explained that it would be “implement(ing) modest price increases” on its Davidoff brand with the exception of 702, Demi-Tasse and Royal Release. Austin said the increases are a result of increased manufacturing costs and raw tobacco.

The increases aren’t consistent. A Davidoff Special R will increase 70 cents in retail price, about a 3.5 percent increase, whereas Nicaragua Diademas will increase $1.20 and Signature 2000 will go up 80 cents per cigar, each about a 5.5 percent increase.

Davidoff says the new pricing will take effect Feb. 1, 2019.
