Cigar Oasis Rebrands Wi-Fi Products Under Smart Humidor

Cigar Oasis Wi-Fi is no more.

At this month’s IPCPR Convention & Trade Show, Cigar Oasis will rebrand its Wi-Fi Attachment ($118) and associated iOS, Android and web app under the Smart Humidor name. The Wi-Fi Attachment is a unit that bridges to Cigar Oasis’ electronic humidifiers and a wi-fi network allowing for users to monitor temperature and adjust humidity levels within a humidor.

The company says that in addition to the rebrand, a new app is due out on Sept. 1, which will allow for faster responses times, low water settings and the ability to view 18 months of humidor and temperature data.

“We were seeing a number of other Wi-Fi and Bluetooth enabled remote monitoring devices enter the cigar accessory market and we wanted a brand that would emphasize the uniqueness of what our product offers,” said Albert Foundos, president and founder of Cigar Oasis, in a press release.

“Ours does not merely monitor and alert you of changes, but can actually control the humidity since it is attached to your Cigar Oasis humidifier. And more importantly, any humidor can become a Smart Humidor, from a desktop to a large cabinet and even small walk-ins. So this is really a universal solution, not locking you into to any one particular humidor size or design.”
