Catelli Cigar Co. is adding a third blend to its lineup.

The new regular release blend is the Modella Maduro, a line composed of a Mexican San Andrés wrapper covering a Nicarguan binder and Nicaraguan filler tobaccos. The new cigars join two previously released lines, one incorporating a habano wrapper and the other that uses a Connecticut wrapper.

There will be five vitolas available at launch, all in boxes of 20: Girl Next Door (5 x 50, $6.90), the Perfection (6 1/2 x 42, $7.90), the Supermodel (6 7/8 x 50, $7.90), the Curves (6 1/4 x 52, $7.90) and the Bombshell (6 x 60, $8.90.) Like the rest of Catelli cigars, the new Modella Maduro is produced at the La Zona Cigar Factory in Estelí, Nicaragua.

According to a representative from Catelli, all five sizes of the Modella Maduro will debut at the 2015 IPCPR Convention & Trade Show and are scheduled to ship to retailers in September.

I have worn many hats in my life up to this point: I started out as a photojournalist for the Dallas Morning News and the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, then transitioned to photographing weddings—both internationally and in the U.S.—for more than a decade. After realizing that there was a need for a cigar website containing better photographs and more in-depth information about each release, I founded my first cigar blog, SmokingStogie, in 2008. SmokingStogie quickly became one of the more influential cigar blogs on the internet, known for reviewing preproduction, prerelease, rare, extremely hard-to-find and expensive cigars, and it was one of the predecessors to halfwheel, which I co-founded.
