For its entry into the $100 cigar market, Plasencia created what it says is the first cigar to use wrapper from the volcanic island of Ometepe in Lake Nicaragua. It’s a departure from the blend of the regular production line, which is known for showcasing the island’s unique terroir.

This is the fourth vitola in the Cosecha 149 line, which was made with the company’s 149th crop of tobacco. When the line debuted in 2021, it was Plasencia’s first Honduran puro released under its company name.

This is the third vitola for the Alma Fuerte Colorado Claro blend, the first one to be round instead of box-pressed.

Plasencia celebrates its 151st harvest with a Honduran puro using tobacco with approximately seven years of age on it.

The name of the cigar is spelled احتفال in Arabic, which translates to celebration.

In 2021, Plasencia 1865 commemorated the family’s 149th harvest of tobacco with a new line, and after a year of rest, the cigar shows it was worth the celebration.
