A new cigar project from Room101 is on the way, called “Big Delicious” that will be part of Smoke Inn’s Microblend Series.
Room101’s Matt Booth says that the blend has been finalized but the specific size is still being decided. The name comes from Booth’s nickname for Abe Dababneh, owner of Smoke Inn in South Florida.
Dababneh says the blend is based off the Room101 OSOK and confirmed that it will be a single vitola release. Pricing has not been decided as the packaging is still being finalized.
Attendees of The Great Smoke’s VIP Dinner on February 15 in West Palm Beach, FL will receive a pre-release commemorative five-pack of the cigars. The cigars will officially be released on April 26 at Smoke Inn’s new Boyton Beach store and company headquarters.
While Big Delicious will debut as part of the store’s Microblend Series, both Booth and Dababneh said the line could go national at some point. While the name is a departure from Room101’s use of Japanese terms, Booth said this project has given him the chance to utilize a different design aesthetic that he’s been wanting to use for some time.
A website has been launched for the project—Room101BigDelicious.com—and while it has an active landing page, it will go fully live on January 2. Dababneh said it will feature a weekly comic strip chronicling “The Adventures of Big Delicious and Swanky White,” the latter being Dababneh’s nickname for Booth.
