Ashton Increasing Prices on Some Lines

Later this month, Ashton Distributors, Inc. will increase prices on some of its lines.

The company’s Nicaraguan lines—La Aroma de Cuba and San Cristobal—will not increase. However, its Dominican lines, including the Ashton brands and Premium House Selections, will increase. Chip Goldeen, senior director of sales for Ashton, told halfwheel that the increases will largely result in a 50 cent per cigar increase for the price consumers pay.

In a letter sent to retailers, Sathya Levin, Ashton’s executive vice president and coo, blamed the change on increasing manufacturing costs and expenses associated to FDA regulations.

The company’s Savoy humidor and accessories will also increase.

The changes take place Feb. 12, 2020.
