Only the Angel’s Share 2016 Perfexcion X and Perfexcion No. 77 Shark are listed on the Arturo Fuente price list. The other 11 cigars range from releases that the company makes but does not sell—like the Don Carlos Lancero, PJ and Toy Maker—to cigars like the OpusX 25 or OpusX 2020 cigars, which have been sold in a limited fashion.
Arturo Fuente has declined to list an MSRP for The Impossible Collection. Using industry-standard margins, consumers should expect to pay $2,600 per box before applicable local taxes.
Notably, Arturo Fuente does not use industry-standard margins; it actually calculates its MSRPs with less margin than most cigar companies, meaning the MSRP would likely be closer to $2,300. On the other hand, due to the limited supply of cigars like OpusX and Añejo, many retailers routinely mark up limited Arturo Fuente cigars well beyond the industry-standard margins.
In order to receive the cigars, retailers needed to place orders at the 2023 PCA Convention & Trade Show, which took place earlier this month in Las Vegas. There are 500 boxes shipping to U.S. stores.
These boxes are the 2022 vintage, created for La Gran Fumada, a June 2022 party at the Arturo Fuente Cigar Club in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. The boxes have been sitting at the Fuente warehouse in Tampa since last year.
Earlier this year, Arturo Fuente Cigar Club held another La Gran Fumada event with a different sampler.
