The 2022 versions of the Alec Bradley Black Market Filthy Hooligan cigars will head to stores next week.
Alec Bradley has announced that it will begin shipping the Black Market Filthy Hooligan Barber Pole and Black Market Filthy Hooligan Shamrock. While neither cigar is now, both are limited editions that Alec Bradley releases to stores once per year, ahead of the St. Patrick’s Day holiday.
The Alec Bradley Black Market Filthy Hooligan Barber Pole is a 6 x 50 toro that uses Nicaraguan habano and candela tobaccos for its wrapper. Underneath the contrasting wrappers are an Ecuadorian Sumatran binder and fillers from Honduras and Panama. It has an MSRP of $11.15 per cigar and will be limited to 2,000 boxes of 24 cigars.
If two wrappers weren’t enough for you, the Alec Bradley Black Market Filthy Hooligan Shamrock uses three different wrappers: Nicaraguan habano, Nicaraguan habano maduro and candela. It is also a 6 x 50 toro and also uses an Ecuadorian Sumatran binder and fillers from Honduras and Panama. It has an MSRP of $13.25 per cigar and will be limited to 1,500 boxes of 24 cigars.
Both cigars are made at Tabacos de Oriente in Danlí, Honduras.
“We love using ‘first grow’ candela wrapper in different combinations,” said Alan Rubin, founder of Alec Bradley, in a press release. “The double wrapped Filthy Hooligan Barber Pole and the tri-wrapper Filthy Hooligan Shamrock have great sweetness, complexity and balance. Our candela has really unique flavor characteristics which enthusiasts seek out in our annual releases.”
The company says the cigars should be on shelves by Friday, Feb. 18.
