Altadis U.S.A. has announced that its Onyx brand, known for its dark wrappers, will get a new blend next month.

The Onyx Vintage Nicaragua is made entirely of Nicaraguan tobacco, capped off by a habano-seed wrapper from the 2019 harvest. Like the Onyx Bold Nicaragua, which the company introduced in 2020, this blend will be made at Tabacalera AJ Fernandez Cigars de Nicaragua S.A. in Estelí, Nicaragua.

It will be offered in three regular production sizes:

  • Onyx Vintage Nicaragua Robusto (5 x 50) — $9.60 (Box of 20, $192)
  • Onyx Vintage Nicaragua Toro (6 x 54) — $10 (Box of 20, $200)
  • Onyx Vintage Nicaragua Magnum (6 x 60) — $10.75 (Box of 20, $215)

Altadis U.S.A. says the Onyx Vintage Nicaragua will begin shipping to stores on Sept. 25, 2023.
