7-20-4 Updates 1874 Series, Adds Sizes

Back in 2011, 7-20-4 Cigars released a line called the 1874 Series that paid tribute to the year that the original 7-20-4 Cigar Company was founded by R.G. Sullivan in Manchester, N.H. This year, the brand’s current owner, Kurt A. Kendall, is giving the line a new look and adding two new sizes to both of which he will have featured at the upcoming IPCPR Convention & Trade Show.

As far as the lineup, the company is adding a Toro Especial and Gordo Especial, while the Torpedo Especial that was seen at the 2018 IPCPR Convention & Trade Show is gone.

The line now sits at five sizes, all of which are regular production:

  • 7-20-4 1874 Series Corona Especial (5 1/2 x 42) — $10.50 (Box of 20, $210)
  • 7-20-4 1874 Series Robusto Especial (5 1/4 x 52) — $11 (Box of 20, $220)
  • 7-20-4 1874 Series Toro Especial (6 x 52) — $12 (Box of 20, $240)
  • 7-20-4 1874 Series Gordo Especial (6 x 60) — $13.50 (Box of 20, $270)
  • 7-20-4 1874 Series Lancero Especial (7 1/2 x 38) — $10.50 (Box of 20, $210)

The updated 7-20-4 1874 Series is made at Plasencia Cigars S.A. in Estelí, Nicaragua and is scheduled to begin shipping to retailers in September.

I also work in a number of roles for Major League Baseball, plus I'm a voice over artist. Prior to joining halfwheel, I covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
