A few days ago, the cigar industry got a peek at one of XIKAR’s newest cutters, the Perfect Xi1, by way of more details about Tatuaje’s Anarchy NFT project being released. Now, more information has come out about this new variation of one of the more popular cigar cutters on the market.

The XIKAR Perfect Xi1 takes the existing Xi1 design and adds a back plate to it, which helps to ensure a smooth cut across the cap of a cigar. As with the original Xi1, the body is made from aluminum while the blades are stainless steel and can handle up to a 60-ring gauge cigar.

The new design also provides additional space for custom designs through Quality Importers’ SWAG Bunker program.

“The XIKAR® Perfect Xi1 will become the new desired cutter for casual smokers and aficionados alike due to its design with the closed back allowing for a clean straight cut, at the same depth, every time,” said Joe Gro, director of marketing and communications for Quality Importers Trading Co., in a press release. “Through our SWAG Bunker, we brought custom Smoke Inn designs to life, they are a must-have.”

The XIKAR Perfect Xi1 is priced at $84.99 and is offered in black, silver, red and blue, as well as custom Smoke Inn branded designs that have been created as part of the launch. The cutters are scheduled to on sale on Friday, July 7 at 3pm ET via Smoke Inn’s website and retail locations.

“I wanted to make something special, different, for a Smoke Inn branded cutter,” said Abe Dababneh, owner of Smoke Inn, via a press release. “I have always been a fan of XIKAR® cutters and it is my cutter of choice. So when I brought up the idea of a ‘perfect’ style cutter to the QI team, they agreed it was a natural evolution. I am proud to have been part of the process of bringing this new cutter to the masses.”

Quality Importers Trading Co., parent company of the XIKAR brand, announced that a XIKAR Perfect Xi2 is planned for later this year and will also debut at Smoke Inn.

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury and previously the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for Major League Baseball, plus I'm a voice over artist. Prior to joining halfwheel, I covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
