Quality Importers Trading Co.’s newest cutter offers both a straight cut and v-cut in one singular cutter.

The XIKAR Flip Dual Cigar Cutter is designed to cut cigars up to 64-ring gauge in either a straight cut or v-cut. The v-cut uses the same reserve v-cut found on the company’s VX2 cutter, which features a reserve cut that penetrates the cigar from the sides as opposed to the center of the cap like a traditional v-cutter. In addition, the cutter features a spring-loaded opening mechanism for one-handed operation and a lock to help keep the cutter closed. The company says the cutter can also double as a cigar rest.

It’s priced at $84.99 and offered in seven different colors: Black, Black/Bronze, Blue, Bronze, Brushed Chrome, Gunmetal and Red.

Dimensions-wise, the cutter measures 3.07 inches in height, 1.79 inches wide and .66 inches deep.

“This product took almost two years to perfect, said Alex Goldman, president of Quality Importers, in an email to halfwheel. “We wanted to make sure both sides functioned better than any other dual-function cutter on the market while still living up to the exacting standards that allow us to put a lifetime warranty on all Xikar products. Initial delivery was scheduled for August 2024 after what was expected to be a July PCA show – since the show has been in the summer since I attended my first show at two- years-old! We are working with our production partners to try and accelerate this timeline due to the change in show dates – but we will not do anything that undermines the quality of the product. If we can ship earlier we will – but no matter what we know the FLIP will be worth the wait”

Quality Importers will show off the Flip Dual Cutter to retailers at this week’s 2024 PCA Convention & Trade Show. Like all XIKAR products, it has a lifetime warranty.
