The two new TPE 2023 releases from Wildfire Cigar Co. are shipping to stores today.
That includes The Intro, a 6 x 46 corona gorda that uses an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper over a corojo binder and fillers from Pennsylvania and the Estelí and Jalapa regions of Nicaragua. It is made at Fábrica Centroamericana de Tabaco S.A. in Danlí, Honduras, best known as Cavalier Genève’s factory. This is the first time that Wildfire is working with this factory.
Each cigar has an MSRP of $12 and The Intro is limited to 700 boxes of 10 cigars.
The Intro is the first of three different releases that are modeled after the parts of a rock song: intro, hook and breakdown.
Technically, The Intro already went on sale through Luxury Cigar Club, though today marks the first time orders are shipping to stores nationwide.
Also shipping today is a new regular production called Wanderer, it too is also made at Fábrica Centroamericana de Tabaco S.A.
It’s a three-size line that uses an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper over a Nicaraguan habano binder and four fillers: piloto from the Dominican Republic, broadleaf from Pennsylvania and tobaccos from Jalapa and Paraguay.
- Wanderer Corona (5 5/8 x 46) — $9.99 (Box of 20, $199.80)
- Wanderer Robusto (5 1/4 x 50) — $10.99 (Box of 20, $219.80)
- Wanderer Toro (6 x 52) — $11.99 (Box of 20, $239.80)
“Sometimes not having direction leads you down a path of discovery. The Wanderer is that discovery,” said Jeremy McDonald, Wildfire’s founder, in a press release. “It’s a new addition to my portfolio coming out of FTC Honduras. I wanted to create something that was rich, had strength, and highlighted some tobaccos that are not as widely used, while offering something familiar. Smoke it and let it take you on whatever journey you choose.”
