Legislation

• Massachusetts Little Cigar Tax Proposed — S.1453 has been introduced which would raise the tax on little cigars from 30 percent of the wholesale price to 80 percent of the wholesale price. It would only be applicable to cigars weighing .048-.192 ounces per cigar, a small fraction of what a typical robusto weighs.
• Cañon City, Colo. Eyes Downtown Smoking Ban
• Kearney, Mo. Considering Citywide Smoking Ban — Via The Courier.
• Oceanside, Calif. Bans Smoking At Pier Amphitheater — Via The San Diego Union-Tribune.

• Eastern Illinois University — Smoking Ban effective July 1, 2015.
