For the first time since 2017, Black Honey is heading to stores.

Today, Warped Cigars is beginning to ship the 2023 version of its La Colmena Black Honey. Like previous versions, it’s a 5 x 48 belicoso that uses an Ecuadorian habano oscuro wrapper over an Ecuadorian binder and fillers from the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua. Blend-wise, it’s a hybrid of Warped’s La Colmena and El Oso lines. Like those two blends, Black Honey is made at El Titan de Bronze in Miami.

Unlike previous releases, the 2023 version is being sold in boxes, as opposed to black paper bundles. The MSRP is set at $22 per cigar.

Black Honey debuted in 2015 and was sold at just 13 stores. In 2017, Warped released the cigar again, that time offered to 67 retailers. Kyle Gellis, Warped’s founder, has said that after this release, Warped won’t ship Black Honey again for at least six more years.

The original release finished #12 on halfwheel’s Top 25 cigars of 2015.
