Warfighter Tobacco Co. will be showing off its newest release when the 2023 PCA Convention & Trade Show opens on Saturday.

Night Shift is a 6 x 50 toro made up of an Ecuadorian habano oscuro wrapper, an Indonesian binder and Nicaraguan filler tobaccos. In addition, a strip of candela tobacco grown in Honduras is wrapped around the cap of each cigar. It is made at Tabacalera Carreras.

According to a press release, Night Shift was created as a “tribute to those Warfighters, operators, first responders and all the other unsung Americans who are working the night shift to keep America running strong while the rest of us sleep.” In addition, the aforementioned candela strip on the cap of each cigar is meant to be “a subtle nod to the glorious green hue that emanates from the advanced infrared night vision optics used throughout the War on Terror.”

Night Shift will be priced at $10.50 each and will be packaged in 20-count boxes that are scheduled to ship to retailers immediately following PCA 2023, which takes place July 8-11 in Las Vegas.

I have been smoking cigars for over eight years. A documentary wedding photographer by trade, I spent seven years as a photojournalist for the Dallas Morning News and the Fort Worth Star Telegram. I started the cigar blog SmokingStogie in 2008 after realizing that there was a need for a cigar blog with better photographs and more in-depth information about each release. SmokingStogie quickly became one of the more influential cigar blogs on the internet, known for reviewing preproduction, prerelease, rare, extremely hard-to-find and expensive cigars. I am a co-founder of halfwheel and now serve as an editor for halfwheel.
