Fans of the Guerrilla Warfare and Advanced Warfare, the strongest cigars from Viva Republica, will have a new line to look forward to.

At the 2016 IPCPR Convention & Trade Show, the company will add Art of War, a larger rendition of the blend offered in four sizes: Robusto (5 x 50, $8.50), Corona Gorda (6 x 47, $9.50), Toro (5 1/2 x 54, $10.50) and Gran Toro (6 x 58, $11.50).

As for the blend, it uses a Connecticut broadleaf wrapper over an Ecuadorian Sumatra binder and fillers from Colombia, the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua. The foot of each cigar contains a strip of Dominican candela tobacco, while the cap has a pigtail.

The release is inspired by Sun Tzu’s The Art of War and the use of candela is said to be a nod to the Master Sun.

“We have always had an issue with extrapolating the Guerrilla and Advanced blends to larger ring gauge vitolas,” said Jason Holly, owner of Viva Republica, in a press release. “This is not the same blend, but keeps the with spirit and profile of the smaller vitola Warfare.”

The company said it will begin shipping the cigar to select accounts immediately with a national rollout to follow.

Viva Republica is distributed by Miami Cigar & Co.

The 2016 IPCPR Convention & Trade Show begins July 25 in Las Vegas.
