After debuting at the 2012 IPCPR trade show as part of La Aurora’s booth, Viva Republica stepped out on its own this year in Las Vegas:

Jason Holly, who’s featured on the two booth panels pictured above, had all three of his lines on display, including the most recent addition, the Guerrilla Warfare:

The Viva Republica Guerrilla Warfare is a 4 x 41 that comes in 50-count boxes with an MSRP of $4.00 per cigar or $200.00 per box. It uses an Ecuadoran Sumatra wrapper, Mexican San Andrés  and Dominican Corojo binders, as well as fillers from Nicaragua, Brazil and the Dominican Republic.

The Rapture and Rapture Maduro were also prominently featured:

What was not on display was the new Thrice, which won’t be ready for retail for a few weeks. However, Holly mentioned he had doubled the number of stores carrying his cigars, giving fans of Viva Republica more places to find the cigars.

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury and previously the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for Major League Baseball, plus I'm a voice over artist. Prior to joining halfwheel, I covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
