Another Thanksgiving-themed cigar from Viaje has begun showing up in limited quantities, the Zombie Farmer Bill Hatchet.
The company declined to discuss specifics of the release, though according to retailer listings it is a 5 1/2 x 54 box-pressed robusto that uses a Nicaraguan criollo 98 wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and filler. It is offered in 30-count boxes priced at $330 or $11 for a single cigar. Additionally, the cigars are bundled in five-count packages, with each box containing six such packages.
The Zombie Farmer Bill Hatchet debuted in 2016, a merging of two other lines, the Zombie and the Farmer Bill Hatchet. The latter debuted in 2014 as an addition to the company’s Thanksgiving-themed Stuffed Turkey cigars, with the backstory that the character was how the turkey gets from farm to table. The Zombie part of the name comes from a line that debuted in 2011 as a follow-up to the company’s WMD and MOAB cigars and with the storyline that the name came from people’s transitions to zombies after being exposed “to the radiation from the WMD release.” It has also crossed over into other lines, including the Zombie Super Shot, while being the basis for the Zombie Antidote and Zombie Biohazard.
Viaje also recently shipped the 2018 installments of the Stuffed Turkey White Meat and Stuffed Turkey Dark Meat.
