Andre Farkas of Viaje announced via his personal Facebook page on Monday that the company is preparing to ship the latest installment in the Skull and Bones WMD line sometime this month, though a specific dates has yet to be announced. A company representative confirmed that it will be shipping alongside the recently announced Viaje Exclusivo Leaded.

The Skull and Bones line has been a part of Viaje’s catalog of annual limited edition releases since May 2010 and the Skull and Bones Daisy Cutter. The WMD first appeared in March 2011 with a return in March 2012, though it wasn’t released in 2013. Despite the absence of the WMD last year, it returns in the same size and with the same price as the 2012 edition, a 3 3/4 x 54 petit robusto with a price of $8.96 per cigar and $224.00 per box of 25, according to the company.

The 2014 release of the Viaje Skull and Bones WMD will be the 19th release under the Skull and Bones banner.

Farkas indicated “free swag” would be shipped to authorized retailers, a move that will be a welcome change for Viaje dealers

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury, the G-League's Valley Suns, and previously the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for Major League Baseball, plus I'm a voice over artist. Prior to joining halfwheel, I covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
