This month, the Viaje Exclusivo Nicaragua will return to retail shelves, as the company has announced that it will be releasing the blend in the same three sizes in which it debuted back in Oct. 2016, meaning a Robusto (5 X 52, $8.80), Toro (6 X 50, $9.04) and Double R (5 1/2 X 54, $9.44).

The company says that nothing has changed for this release, which means that it remains a Nicaraguan puro that is made at the Tabacos Valle de Jalapa S.A. (TABSA) factory in Estelí. The line is distinguishable by a blue and white band, a nod to the colors of the Nicaraguan flag, as well as a blue and white sticker of the company’s tobacco leaf logo on each box.

Viaje has also released the Exclusivo Nicaragua in two additional sizes, a 5 1/2 x 46 Corona Gorda that came out in Dec. 2016 and a 6 x 40 Petit Lancero that was released in April 2018, although they are not part of this release.

The cigars are scheduled to begin shipping on Aug. 12 alongside the new Private Keep Tangerine.

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury, the G-League's Valley Suns, and previously the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for Major League Baseball, plus I'm a voice over artist. Prior to joining halfwheel, I covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
