Next week, Viaje will ship three cigars, one of which is entirely new.
The company is adding Furiosa, a new Nicaraguan puro. It says the cigar is based on the character Imperator Furiosa from the Mad Max film series and has a unique size that the company is not disclosing until the cigars arrive in store.

It will be packaged initially in 51-count boxes with packaging from Viaje’s WLP series, though the company says that packaging was not intended as the finalized packaging, but the company had to release the cigar earlier than intended to meet the FDA Aug. 8 regulation deadline.
As for the blend, it’s made of corojo and criollo tobaccos and is being produced at Raíces Cubanas in Honduras. Furiosa is limited to 100 boxes.

Viaje’s C-4 returns for its fifth year, while TNT now enters the sixth year of production. A spokesperson for the company told halfwheel the details are the same as last year.
That means both cigars enter the second year of production at PDR Cigars. C-4 uses a Connecticut broadleaf wrapper over its 5 x 56 box-pressed shape. The company declined to release production numbers last year, but crates of 75 retailed for $858 or $11.44 per cigar.
TNT will have a slight change as it is set to receive a band for the first time. The 6 1/4 x 54 toro extra also uses a Connecticut broadleaf wrapper. It has the same price as TNT and the company also declined to release production numbers last year.
For those wondering about a 2016 release of Roman Candle or Summerfest, neither cigar will be offered for 2016.
