After a hiatus of nearly seven years, Vector-KGM has announced that it is bringing back its extra large, 855ml butane cans due to what it called “massive amount of requests.”
The packaging format debuted at the 2016 IPCPR Convention & Trade Show, an event now known as the Premium Cigar Association (PCA) Convention & Trade Show. At the time, the can was nearly twice as big as Vector-KGM’s next biggest option, the 447ml V250 option, and nearly eight times as big as its smallest option, the 107ml X60 option. The company has since added the X600 can, which holds 600ml of butane.
All of Vector-KGM’s butane is billed as being cold-filtered up to 14 times for purity.
The company does not have a set MSRP for the can, but says most retailers sell it for between $13.50 and $16.50. The 855ml cans of butane, called both the X855 and the “giga jumbo” can, are now available for retailers and distributors to order.
I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury, the G-League's Valley Suns, and previously the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for Major League Baseball, plus I'm a voice over artist. Prior to joining halfwheel, I covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
